Society of Black Lawyers

The Society of Black Lawyers (SBL) was founded by Rudy Narayan and Sighbat Kadri QC in 1973 to promote the rights and welfare of minority lawyers as well as those in the community who need legal protection.

The SBL Chair since 1984 is Peter Herbert. Peter is a Barrister,  a part-time Recorder (judge) of the Crown court, a part-time Special immigration Judge since 1996 and an Employment Tribunal chair.
