Lawyer of the Month

Last month we took a retrospective look back at our Lawyers of the Month in 2006 and our Lawyer of the Month of January 2007 is the Director of Legal Services and Enforcement at the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) . Read more

Organisation in Focus

This Month's organisation in Focus is the law firm, Ogun@Law which reaches its 10th year milestone on 1st February 2007. Ogun@Law, which specialises in commercial litigation and property law was transformed from a spare room at home to its current City of London location (appropriately in City Road) by the former chairman of the African Caribbean and Asian Lawyer's Group, and ex-Lovell's corporate tax lawyer, Dele Ogun. Speaking on the forthcoming milestone Dele said: "It's been a long trek through previously unfamiliar areas of the law, especially as a minority-led practice. However, like any journey through new territory you learn a lot along the way and the harder the journey the more you learn, assuming, of course, that you make it through. As we step into our 10th year, I think I can say that we've made it through."

Students' Corner

10th and 17th January 2007 is Wragge and Co's Open day for the September 2009 and March 2010 vacation placements and training contracts in Birmingham and London. It is not too late to apply to attend the Open day even though the application form to attend gives the deadline as the 15 december 2006.
