WELCOME TO BLD's NEWSLETTER
Welcome to our March 2007 Newsletter.
23 February 2007 was BLD's first anniversary. We are making our mark but there is much to do and today (1st March 2007) is our Diversity in Law Event which is generously sponsored by Allen & Overy. For more details about the event and the biographies of the speakers click here.
As we informed you last month, we are planning a much revised Black Letter Law publication that will include black minority ethnic (BME) judges, Queen's Counsels, partners in the top 100 UK law firms, top US and European Law firms, Professors of Law, Heads of Law/Directors of Law in local government and the public sector and General Counsels in commerce and industry. Thank you to all those who have already responded and we are taking your views into account, including adding partners in the top US and European Law firms in the UK. Please do send us information if you qualify or know of others who are eligible by sending your information by email to info@onlinebld.com.
We are pleased to welcome Bevan Brittan as our latest annual advertiser.
Please note that our newsletter is changing and we would like to update you with the planned changes. The Students' Corner feature (featured this month) will appear at least four times a year highlighting news, issues and events that are relevant to students. We are no longer going to continue with our Non-lawyer of the Month and the Organisation in Focus feature and we will be replacing these features from April/May 2007 with 'In Focus'. In Focus will highlight organisations and/or individuals who are actively making changes on diversity, whether lawyers or non-lawyers. Please let us have your views about the changes and anything else in the newsletter or our website by sending your views to info@onlinebld.com.
Have you changed your email address or moved jobs or about to? Please update your profile if you are listed on the website or your mailing details if you are on the mailing list. Do see our Listing Guide further for individuals and organisations.
