Jointly organised by the Society of Black Lawyers and Ashurst LLP, the City Law: CV & Interview
Masterclass is a unique event aimed at providing aspiring ethnic minority undergraduates and
graduates with the practical advice and ‘insider’ information that will help them to improve their
chances of securing a training contract. The masterclass will give attendees an opportunity to:

have their CVs evaluated by associates at Ashurst LLP;

obtain tips on how to improve their interview techniques through mock interviews with
partners at Ashurst LLP;

strengthen their presentation and communication skills;
-
develop a clear understanding and awareness of what City law firms are looking for in the
training contract application and interview process; and
-
network with Ashurst LLP partners, associates and trainees.
Application process & dates
1. The City Law: CV & Interview Masterclass will take place on Thursday 31 March 2011 from
5:00pm‐8.30pm at Ashurst LLP and is open to ethnic minority undergraduates and
graduates who have obtained or are on course to obtain a minimum 2:1 degree at
undergraduate level.
2. Places are limited. Students wishing to attend the masterclass must first register online at
www.citylaw.eventsbot.com by uploading their CVs along with a covering letter.
