Description :

Africans Today holds its re-launch event on September 5, 2011 at 6:30PM in Canary Wharf, London. The event is themed - AFRICA’s vast opportunities are both big and small.

The event is another of our 'Speaker Series' talks where people share their experiences with other Africans, African investors and persons with interests and/or stakes in Africa.  Speakers have included senior people from Goldman Sachs; Actis; Helios; BBC, film & documentary directors and partners at leading law/accountancy firms, speaking for 10 to 15 minutes, with questions right after. A networking drinks reception follows before the event is brought to a close.

The network previously known as "Nigerians In The Wharf", is being re-launched as Africans Today to better reflect its current membership and ambitions. And as part of the plans to extend the value we give to our broad membership at Africans Today, we have lined up a number of well-respected and highly regarded individuals within the diverse industry sectors they represent to give their views vis-à-vis opportunities in Africa from an investment and/or public-private sector context. They include:

Kem Ihenacho – Host  (Private Equity)

Paul Cleal – PwC (Cameroon) - Corporate Finance and Africa Development

OB Sisay - FM Capital Partners (Sierra Leone) - Private Sector Development

Wole Akande – CEO Slowe and Former Adviser to Government (Nigeria) - Public/Private Partnership Focus

Remi Okunlola - SeaWolf Oilfield Services Limited (Nigeria) - Energy

Africans Today - Organizers

Africa Today will be delighted to see you and so look forward to welcoming many of you to the re-launch event on 5 September. For further information on speakers and a free ticket (limited spaces available), register your attendance at http://africanstoday.eventbrite.com
