The Association of Women Solicitors (AWS) has arranged for School Governors’ One-Stop Shop (SGOSS), to speak at the Guildhall on 24 September 2007 on the benefits to volunteers, schools and children of becoming a school governor.
You will also hear about the practicalities of acting as a governor from a lawyer who currently serves as one. Although it is a challenging role, being a school governor is enormously rewarding and need take no more than 6 to 8 hours per month.
You do not need to have children.
